Google is at it again. They profess to "Do No Evil" but their wold domination has now reached the mobile arena. Next Tuesday, Google's soon to be ubiquitous Mobile Operating System will be launched on HTC's Dream Phone that will be carried by T-Mobile. The good news is that this new OS promises to be much more open than it's competitors (i.e. Windows Mobile, Brew, etc.) and carry services that will allow developers to create rich applications supported by most phones and networks. What remains to be seen is to what native support the new OS will have for Mobile Financial Services (MFS). What the MFS indudsty desperately needs is out of the box financial transaction services to be supported including configurable mWallets, , finanial institution integration services, security, error handling, auditing, etc. If Google delivers on this, we will see an additional driver to the growth of the MFS industry. If Google ignores this space, they still will dominate search and hopefully still not do any evil.
