BB&T launches new mobile check deposit feature. Personal and small business clients can deposit paper checks to checking or savings accounts using a smartphone camera.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., April 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- BB&T Corporation (NYSE: BBT) today added another convenient feature to its mobile banking line – mobile check deposit. The feature allows personal and small business clients to quickly, easily and safely deposit paper checks using an iPhone, Android or iPod Touch camera.

"Many of today's clients live in a mobile world," said Teresa Rose, BB&T Digital Channel manager. "BB&T mobile check deposit complements the wide array of mobile banking offerings we provide to help our on-the-go clients conveniently and easily manage their finances."

BB&T OnLine Banking clients can deposit personal or business checks drawn from any U.S. bank into their BB&T checking or savings account.

"Oftentimes we find ourselves carrying around a check for several days or even weeks thinking we'll deposit it the next time we're in the branch.
