Canadian mobile network operators set to launch new mobile payment and money transfer service June 15 2009

New mobile payments service called Zoompass to be launched through a joint venture (Enstream) between Canadian Mobile Network Operators Bell, Rogers, and Telus.

I was unaware that the big 3 Canadian wireless carriers are in a joint venture together. Bell, Rogers and TELUS own a company called “EnStream” and their mandate is to “enable every mobile device user to access their electronic money, identification and other personal information for transacting – at any time and any place.”
