MasterCard, C-SAM to provide white label mobile wallet

Friday, May 18, 2012 - 08:32

C-SAM Inc. and MasterCard Worldwide Inc. will be offering a new white label mobile wallet solution, C-SAM announced. The new mobile wallet will be based on C-SAM’s Mobile Transaction Platform and will allow integration with MasterCard’s prepaid platform, offers, PayPass Wallet Services and rich informational services.

C-SAM is a provider of secure transaction technology, and is best known in the mobile payment space as the company partnering with Isis to provide its mobile wallet. The company offers a number of products for financial services, healthcare, and wireless carriers.

The new white label mobile wallet from C-SAM and MasterCard will let mobile operators, retail banks and payment providers in the Middle East, Asia and Africa launch a wide range of mobile contactless payment services that can be combined with offers, coupons and other value added services, C-SAM said.

"Our partnership with C-SAM offers telcos in the region an NFC solution that comes pre-packaged with prepaid instance issuance, TSM integration and coupon redemption at the point of sale and offers a path to a truly multichannel payment wallet through PayPass Wallet Services," said Raj Dhamodharan, MasterCard's regional head of mobile and e-commerce for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa.
