
Wells Fargo will begin to send banking customers receipts by email for ATM banking transactions. The email will include an image of the transaction.
Wells Fargo & Co (NYSE: WFC) is now giving some of its customers a new paperless options for ATM receipts.
The company said today that it has begun giving customers an option to have their ATM receipt sent directly to their e-mail inbox or to a secure Wells Fargo online account inbox. Users can choose the option at the end of their transaction. The e-mail will include an image of the transaction receipt.
The San Francisco-based bank rolled out the change to its customers in San Francisco last week and will likely roll the feature out nationwide. Jonathan Velline, Wells Fargo’s head of ATM banking, said that about 8% of users have already started requesting receipts via e-mail.
