iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac, Facebook and more now available via a single multi-channel application.

April 20, 2010 -- As consumers continue to flock to new mobile devices and Internet channels, companies must constantly find a way to extend their businesses beyond their main website, while providing a consistent user experience. To meet this need, the WorkLight Solution for E-Commerce enables companies to offer convenient applications for mobile devices, desktops, social networks and personalized homepages, developed in a single effort.

Retail, travel, hospitality, electronics and consumer goods companies can now engage customers via lightweight iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac and Facebook applications, widgets and gadgets quickly and efficiently.

"We were looking for a way to monetize our presence on Facebook and reach customers at their desktops," said Zeev Rosenberg, general manager at Best Western Hotel President Berlin. "We turned to WorkLight to efficiently extend our business and complement our traditional online booking tools. Since our launch, we have seen higher-than-expected usage of the booking application."

With the WorkLight Solution for E-Commerce, companies can build cross-platform applications that generate new revenue and can be deployed securely in a variety of popular channels. These applications allow customers to search item availability, place orders, track deliveries and more. The ability to deploy applications in multiple places with a single development effort helps companies radically reduce their overall cost of development and integration.

"Implementing an eCommerce or multi-channel technology program will open up many opportunities to drive the business across your company's channels. Work to resolve the conflicts among these channels and functional areas to lay the foundation for new business rules and capabilities. Reconciling conflicting goals, priorities, and projects across these channels and functional groups will pay off in reduced project churn, cost overruns, and delays across the program." "Our software helps companies take advantage of new business opportunities in e-commerce that are currently driven in large measure by the popularity of new mobile devices and increasingly popular third-party websites," said Shahar Kaminitz, CEO of WorkLight. "We continue to witness a growing demand for multi-channel applications in the retail and travel sectors."

WorkLight Solution for E-Commerce is available immediately with special introductory pricing for qualifying companies. WorkLight also provides a complete range of services, including the ability to design and build applications on top of its platform. More information is available at www.worklight.com/ecommerce.
